HOT MEALS DELIVERED TO U.S. MARINES
VendNovation technology enables a premium meal experience
Hotbox operates nearly 20 touch screen vending machines on a California military base, with plans to grow the base to 50 machines and expand further in other military installations.
The machines are placed in barracks, offering maximum convenience to military personnel. Vendnovation supports a third-party food heating system that is installed in the machines, enabling items like burritos, sliders and cinnamon rolls to be dispensed warm in a matter of seconds.
“The touch screen system allows me to sell products at premium prices."
– Jim Tyner
Owner
The touch screen interface delivers a premium experience where customers place an order as they would at a fast food restaurant, choosing an entree and optional side items in a single transaction.
The results speak for themselves. Hotbox says that customers often pay more for the same item available at a nearby store because the machine provides both convenience and coolness.
100%
SALES GROWTH
"The slick appearance of this cutting edge technology makes my business viable. Plus, the daily automated sales reports I receive from Vendnovation allow me to know exactly what's happening, without delay.", said Jim Tyner, owner of Hotbox.
Hotbox sales grew 100% between July 2017 and January 2018. Same-machine sales increased between 28% and 100% in the same period. As the brand grows, usage of Hotbox machines is intensifying.
